Lauren from Boyanup Western Australia is a busy mum of two young boys and is a school teacher. She is a bit of a superstar as she managed to also return to her University studies and start intermittent fasting with some pretty spectacular results that some of us dream about.
She is clearly one dedicated, determined lady. She started intermittent fasting three months ago and has lost 13kg or 27 pounds. At first, she was dirty fasting and made the switch to clean fasting with immediate results. We talk about the health improvements that she has seen, including how helpful IF has been to manage her mental clarity and improve her energy with her University studies.
She now finds OMAD, one meal a day her favourite fasting protocol and is looking at doing ADF, alternate-day fasting on a weekly basis as she nears her goal weight. We talk about how her weight has affected her in the past and how she was affected and how alcohol consumption led to some poor food choices. She is now restricting her alcohol while she aims toward her goal. Lauren explains how intermittent fasting fits into her life.

Lauren does not restrict foods and puts time into her window choices which for her must be worthy. As more friends and family notice her weight loss more of them are becoming curious and want to know more about IF. Laurens advice to newcomers is to keep it simple don’t beat yourself up and be patient. She doesn’t focus on the scale so much and is now looking at a goal body instead of a goal weight. Lauren has seen her BMI come back into a normal range and is loving her intermittent fasting lifestyle. A great episode with some free flow chat and some hints and advice from Graeme and recollections from his own journey.
