Melanie Gleeson from New Zealand gives an excellent insight into what it is like to begin an intermittent fasting journey. Melanie tells us how she found intermittent fasting after noticing a colleague doing it at work and how at the start she was dirty fasting with milk in her coffee to begin with, and how she coped when she found out that milk was breaking her fast. When she switched to the clean fast she found immediate and incredible benefits from making that one tweak to her daily fasting routine and we chat about what differences she is feeling now she is clean fasting and on the highway.
Melanie talks about the incredible energy bursts she had experienced in the short time she has been intermittent fasting and that she has not felt this good in years. She talks about her food tastes changing and how the extra energy has allowed her to get back into an exercise routine without feeling tired.
We talked about those hangry moments and white knuckling to her window early in her journey. She tells us how she has now found a good rhythm with her fasting schedule and is ready for the next step to go from a 16-8 fasting schedule to a 18-6 schedule .
